To all my friends. You know who.

white-taraLooking back a year, to May 2015, all this time I was blessed with meeting so many old and new friends, getting so much support that it is almost impossible to phrase how much I am grateful.

Dear friends, I am carrying you in my heart and I am adamantly going to pay forward all the good you did to me, and then some.

May the gods, goddesses, spirits, squirrels and whatnot be with you.

In hope for hope

So overwhelming, global injustice.
And there is no big hope it could be solved.
Even if the hurt and humiliated people prevail, how easy will it be for them to become new oppressors. To bring vendetta to the next generation. To reverse, not stop, the river of tears and blood.
It is so hopeless, that it almost makes me pray.
There is no hope, perhaps. But it doesn’t change a thing.
The work has to be done, in hope for hope.

The only condition.

Contempt and hatred, when directed towards other beings, are unacceptable. This is the only single thing I am willing to request from anybody who would like to join FreeLab, that — by default — one respects and likes other sentient (and non-sentient, if we are at that) creatures.
It does not mean blind acceptance of everyone. It doesn’t mean indifference in the face of evil. It doesn’t mean passivity in the face of wrongdoers.
It means that one values every other person as an unique, precious and equal gem of life. And takes it into account in every decision, every action.

Such is my hope. Such is my request to myself and to all my friends. Let’s try.

The worst illiterate

political-illiterate-300x225The worst illiterate is the political illiterate, he doesn’t hear, doesn’t speak, nor participates in the political events. He doesn’t know the cost of life, the price of the bean, of the fish, of the flour, of the rent, of the shoes and of the medicine, all depends on political decisions. The political illiterate is so stupid that he is proud and swells his chest saying that he hates politics. The imbecile doesn’t know that, from his political ignorance is born the prostitute, the abandoned child, and the worst thieves of all, the bad politician, corrupted and flunky of the national and multinational companies.

Bertold Brecht
